Professor Braj B. Kachru, University of Illinois, USA Professor Braj B. Kachru is the Jubilee Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Centre for Advanced Study Professor of Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a world-renowned pioneer and authority on the global spread of varieties of English. His many publications include The Other Tongue: English Across Cultures and The Alchemy of English. He is the editor of the scholarly journal, World Englishes. Professor Victor Ramraj, University of Calgary, Canada Victor Ramraj is a Professor of English at the University of Calgary. He is also the editor of the journal ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature. A widely influential scholar and critic, he is the author of several books and papers in various areas of literary studies. Dr. Alastair Niven, British Council, U.K. Dr. Alastair Niven is the head of the Literature Division of the British Council. Based in London, he was earlier the head of the Arts Council of Britain. His numerous publications include a book on Raja Rao, Truth Within Fiction: A Study of Raja Rao’s The Seroent and the Rope. Professor Vijay Mishra, Murdoch University, Australia Vijay Mishra is Professor of English and Comparative Literature and Head of the School of Arts at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia. Previously, he had been Professor of English at the University of Alberta, Canada for two years. Among his publications are: Dark Side of the Dream: Australian Literature and the Postcolonial Mind (with Bob Hodge), The Gothic Sublime, Devotional Poetics and the Indian Sublime and Temples of Desire: Bollywood Cinema (forthcoming). He is currently completing two other books: The Diasporic Imaginary and The Postcolonial Canon. Professor Malashri Lal, University of Delhi, Delhi Professor of English and head of what is perhaps the world's largest English Department at the University of Delhi, Malashri Lal is also the Director of the Centre for Women’s Studies, University of Delhi. A widely published scholar and critic, she has also been awarded several grants and awards, including the Fulbright Post-Doctoral fellowship and the Shastri Indo-Canadian fellowship. Her numerous publications include the influential Indian feminist work, The Law of the Threshold. Ms. Ritu Menon Ms. Ritu Menon is the co-founder of Kali for Women, a leading Indian feminist publishing house.
